Wreath Making Guide
Gather your materials.
You will need the following….
1) Your prepared hay wreath frame
2) Foliage
3) Floristry wire
4) Secateurs or scissors
5) Decorations
Start to build your wreath.
1) Take your wire and attached the end to the back of your wreath.
2) Make a small bundle of foliage and lay on the wreath where you have attached the wire.
3) Attach the bundle of foliage onto the wreath with the wire keeping it tight. You only need to go around once or twice to hold it in position.
4) Make another bundle of foliage and lay it on the stems of the one you have just attached to hid them. Use the wire again to attach the second bundle.
5) Repeat this process until all of the hay is covered and you are happy with how it looks.
(Try not to use all the wire as you will need some to attached the pretty bits.)
Decoration time.
Make your ribbon into a bow. You can watch how to do this here…. How to tie a perfect bow for the holidays! 🎀 #christmas #bowtutorial #giftwrapping - YouTube
It’s a good idea to place you decorations on first without attaching so you can have a play and move things about until you are happy.
-If you attach the ribbon first then you have the top centre as a guide for everything else.
-You can wrap the wire around the base of the pine cones and the middle of the cinnamon, then use the wire to wrap around the wreath.
-The wire can be poked through the orange slices and then wrapped around the wreath to attach.
Once you are finished and happy you can add a bit of Wire to the back to hang your wreath.
